ROOIBOS HONEYBUSH AND GINGER

It was a request from the local communities to create a honeylike tasting tea with ginger. So we added an extra portion of Honeybush into this blend combining it with organic ginger. Ginger compounds are active against a form of diarrhea which is the leading cause of infant death in developing countries. Tea brewed from ginger is common folk remedy for colds.

Honeybush is a caffeine-free herbal drink similar to Rooibos, but sweeter. This unique health drink is said to calm the nervous system, boost the immune system and is also rich in minerals such as iron and calcium. Used traditionally to teat coughs due to its content of pinitol, which is also known to lower blood sugar level.

ROOIBOS SPICY ORANGE

A tiny drop or 100% organic orangeoil from local production is added to variety. Sweet orange oil is a by-product of the juice industry produced by pressing the peel. It is used as a flavoring of food and drink and for its fragrance in perfume and aromatherapy. Sweet orange oil consists of about 90% d-Limonene. Although once thought to cause renal cancer in rats, limonene now is known as a significant chemo preventive agent with potential value as a dietary anti-cancer tool in humans. Masala chai ("spiced tea") is a beverage from the Indian subcontinent made by brewing tea with a mixture of aromatic Indian spices and herbs. By itself, chai is merely the generic word for tea in Hindi and many other languages around the world, and was adopted into British slang as "cha" or "char". The added ginger and other spices give the Rooibos tea some warm and spicy taste nice in the cold evenings with milk and honey but also loved by many at any time of the day.
